Celebrated on June 21st for National Indigenous Peoples Day, this street festival features a mini-powwow, cultural performances, food vendors, children’s activities, and local artisans.
Red Dress Day
Recognized on May 5th, Red Dress Day raises awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2-Spirit people through a community march and ceremony.
Sisters in Spirit
Held on October 4th, this day honours the lives of MMIWG2S with vigils, education, and a space for families and community to come together in remembrance and advocacy.
Feed the People
Every December 24th, KFS gathers to prepare and distribute hundreds of Christmas meals in celebration of connection, warmth, and seasonal community care.
National Aboriginal Addictions Awareness Week
Recognized in late November, this week brings attention to Indigenous-led healing approaches to addictions through local awareness campaigns and community engagement.
