Position Title: Outreach Field Services Coordinator (Full-Time)

Reports To: Creating Spaces Program Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 8:00–4:30, Fridays 9:00–12:00
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $32–$34 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role
The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society is an Indigenous-led non-profit organization providing support, housing, and connection to urban Indigenous people in the Central Okanagan. The Outreach Field Services Coordinator provides day-to-day leadership, operational oversight, and practice guidance to the outreach team. This role ensures consistent, safe, and effective service delivery across outreach programs, supports staff responding to complex or high risk situations, and maintains strong relationships with community partners. The Coordinator acts as a key resource for staff, offering direction, coaching, and crisis support, and may serve as Acting Manager when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
-Provide daily direction, guidance, and support to outreach staff.
-Approve staff timesheets; coordinate schedules, coverage, and staff assignments.
-Facilitate team check-ins, debriefs, and information sharing.
-Support staff performance, wellness, and conflict resolution.
-Serve as Acting Manager when required.
Policy & Practice Leadership
-Maintain strong working knowledge of organizational policies, funder requirements, and program guidelines.
-Translate policy and funder expectations into daily operational practice.
Operational Oversight
-Oversee daily outreach operations and service delivery.
-Ensure supplies, equipment, and vehicles are available and ready for use.
Client & Staff Support
-Provide consultation and guidance to staff responding to complex or high risk situations.
-Assist with safety planning, decision-making, and service coordination.
-Be available to support staff during crises or critical incidents.
-Step into direct outreach only when necessary for operational or safety reasons.
-Promote professional boundaries and staff well-being.
Community Partnerships
-Maintain relationships with partner agencies and community stakeholders.
-Represent the program at meetings and collaborative tables as required.
Records Management & Reporting
-Ensure accurate case notes, incident reports, and data collection.
-Support reporting requirements and program tracking.
Health, Safety & Crisis Response
-Promote safe work practices in field settings.
-Provide guidance during emergencies or high risk situations.
-Ensure adherence to organizational safety standards.
Qualifications
-Relevant education or equivalent experience in social services.
-Several years of outreach or frontline experience.
-Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
-Valid driver’s licence and clear criminal record check considered an asset.
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365; familiarity with accounting software is an asset.
