Position: Finance Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days/week)

About the Role
The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society is seeking a part-time Finance Administrative Assistant to support the Finance Department with day-to-day financial administration and clerical duties. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, experience in bookkeeping or finance administration, and a commitment to supporting an Indigenous-led organization serving urban Indigenous people in the Central Okanagan.
Key Responsibilities
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (Sage preferred).
-Perform bank reconciliations, including credit card reconciliations.
-Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and account analysis.
-Support administration of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
-Assist with audit preparation and other finance-related administrative tasks.
-Provide clerical support including filing, sorting mail, and processing outgoing mail and packages.
-Maintain professional communication with clients, visitors, service providers, and government agencies.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-Bookkeeping certificate, business diploma, or equivalent experience.
-1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance administration.
-Experience with SageIntacct is an asset.
-Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and financial record-keeping.
-Willingness to complete a Criminal Record Check.
-Knowledge of, and interest in, urban Indigenous communities.
