Job Title: Community Entity Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours/week
Wage: $32–$35/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary
The Community Entity Coordinator oversees agreements and funded projects under the Reaching Home Indigenous Stream. This role supports local organizations, monitors project progress and compliance, prepares financial and activity reports, conducts site visits, and works closely with the Indigenous Homelessness Community Advisory Board (IH-CAB) to support homelessness prevention and reduction initiatives in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Reaching Home Indigenous Stream through the IH-CAB
  • Assess and manage funding agreements with sub-project holders
  • Monitor project activities, finances, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct site visits and provide ongoing guidance to funded organizations
  • Support Calls for Proposals and project selection processes
  • Build relationships with Indigenous organizations, governments, and community partners
  • Support IH-CAB operations, recruitment, meetings, and sub-committees
  • Prepare financial, activity, and results-based reports as required by funding agreements

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in social sciences, public administration, Indigenous studies, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project/program coordination, nonprofit, Indigenous-serving, or government-funded environments preferred
  • Experience with contract management, funding agreements, reporting, and community-based projects
  • Strong knowledge of homelessness, housing, mental health, and community support programs
  • Excellent organizational, communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting/data tracking systems
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or advisory bodies is an asset

 

Work Conditions & Requirements

  • Occasional evening/weekend work and local travel required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check required
